Islamic Relief signs People in Aid Code of Good Practice

IR is implementing the Code of Good Practice to improve the way we develop our people - Haroun Atallah.

The CEO of Islamic Relief, Haroun Atallah, has signed a statement of commitment to the People in Aid Code of Good Practice.

The Code is a recognised standard for human resources management for NGOs. The statement, signed on 8 January 2007, commits Islamic Relief to evaluate its HR practices and identify where they can be improved.

Haroun Atallah said, "Islamic Relief Worldwide is implementing the People in Aid Code of Good Practice to improve the way we manage and develop our people."

People in Aid

People In Aid is a global network that helps aid agencies enhance their work by improving management practices and supporting staff and volunteers.

Islamic Relief has been a member of People in Aid since 2001 and decided to start implementing the Code of Good Practice in 2007.
