Following in the footsteps of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary, giants in the mythology of Mount Everest, these thirteen individuals pushed themselves to their limits in aid of their chosen charitable cause.
It was long, it was tough and sadly, two members of the expedition were forced to abandon the climb due to altitude sickness. But the children who will receive an education as a result of their efforts and sacrifice shall no doubt be eternally grateful.

Would you want to raise money for charity whilst doing so?
If the answer to all these is yes, then please contact Zaid al-Rawni, the West Midlands fundraiser on challenge@islamic-relief.org.uk
It may not be Everest next time, but the challenge is likely to be just as gruelling. As Islamic Relief organises a separate climb of Mount Snowdon for women, the Everest event was male only and any future such event; be it Everest, Kilimanjaro or otherwise will also be male only.
