After their Successful Fast-a-thon of 2006, HSBC this Ramadhan launched another such event.

Tackling the effects of climate change in Sudan

All money raised is to be donated to Islamic Relief's programme to tackle the effects of climate change, by supporting reforestation projects in Sudan.

Roughly £8,000 has been raised so far; and the event has been very well supported by both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

During the month of Ramadan for example, some non-Muslims fasted with their Muslim colleagues - one fasting the whole month - masha'Allah!

The money raised will hopefully go towards supporting an ENTIRE project; so that is just an indication of the importance of this fundraising effort undertaken by some HSBC staff.
