Project
Background
The Community Farm Training project complements the Community Action Project (CAP). The project comprises four main components, a dairy farm, beef fattening, a fishery and a nursery. These act as demonstration farms where training is carried out, however the farming activities themselves generate income.
The project is designed to improve the income generation capacity of the community.

Project Objectives
- Establishing and maintaining demonstration farms for the community
- Providing training to local farmers
- Improve the income generation capacity of the community
- Development skills in farm-training management for IR aid workers
Project Activities
- Establishing a demonstration dairy, fishery and a nursery
- Provide training
- Cooperate with the Community Action Project to transfer farming technologies and techniques to the community
- Establishing a community farm
- Establishing links with other agencies for marketing the produce of the community farm
Beneficiaries
608 people will benefit from this project, they are group members of the Community Action Projects (CAP) and the community. Secondary beneficiaries include local business men and women.
