
Schools
by now will have had the new specifications
(previously known as syllabuses) for
KS 4. They have to implement the new
skills into post KS 4 teaching, which
are also likely to form a central part
of KS 4. Schools are constantly having
to review and revise their programmes
of study. Specifications (including
coursework titles) are becoming more
demanding, and key skills and cross-circular
initiatives will be part of the educational
future.

Islamic Relief fully recognises the
pressures and burdens that teachers
are under, but also recognise the joy
and creativity tha teaching brings.
Teachers provide a pivotal role in the
maintenance and developmen of the well
being of society. It is in recognition
of this that Islamic Relief intends
to produce resources for teachers, enabling
them to concentrate more fully upon
what they're good at - teaching.

Tasks
are set so that students are encouraged
to explore, discuss and develop their
own opinions, which will help them develop
a greater empathy with the material.
