Heavy rains and storms have battered communities across the world, killing hundreds and leaving millions without shelter.

Worldwide flooding

This summers floods have spanned continents; across Asia, and Africa.  Please click on each section for more detailed information on the floods in each area.

Pakistan

In Pakistan’s Balochistan and Sindh provinces, well over a million people have been hit by flooding and at least 150,000 are homeless. Islamic Relief is busy distributing tents, portable kitchens and medical treatment.  We can do so much more, but we need your help to do so.

Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, where over half of the country’s 64 districts are underwater; an estimated 20 million people have been affected. Islamic Relief Bangladesh is already aiding the needy and is poised to do much more.  They need your help to rebuild these shattered lives.

North Sudan

Even in Northern Sudan, which often suffers from drought, there have been heavy rains which have made 36,500 families homeless. The rainy season still has months to run.  With your help Islamic Relief will provide much needed water, food and medical aid through our local field office.

The UK

And yes, Europe has not been spared.  Here in the UK, whole towns and villages are suffering the after effects of sudden floods. Islamic Relief UK has been on the ground providing drinking water to many of these stricken communities.  Please help us to bring comfort to even more people.
