Scotland raises £400,000 for DEC Bangladesh Appeal

£400,000 was donated by generous Scots to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Bangladesh appeal, as they witnessed the scale of destruction caused by the Bangladesh Cyclone.

Representatives from many charities, including Islamic Relief’s Fundraising Manager – Habib Malik, visited the affected people and have returned with stories of the true damage caused.

Islamic Relief active on the ground

Islamic Relief Bangladesh’s staff and volunteers are active in the field; and are playing a key role in co-ordinating with the local administration and helping those affected.
