School collects unwanted clothes for Bangladesh Cyclone Victims

ENTERPRISING students at St Albans C of E School in Highgate, Birmingham have collected a huge amount of clothes in aid of the Cyclone victims in Bangladesh.
Atiqur Rahman; Mohammed Alam; Mohammed Ishaq; Koyrul Islam; Fahad Mohammed; Uzzal Ahmed; Shahbaaz Sultan; and Haroon Mohammed, were all concerned enough by the humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh to get up and make a difference.

Islamic Relief has run a clothes recycling operation since 1992. Clothes received are sorted and then sold; with all profits going to help those most in need. |

Hamayoon Sultan, Development Education Co-ordinator at Islamic Relief said:
“The concern that these boys showed for the welfare of suffering people half way across the world is extremely touching. They clearly felt that they could make a difference, and set about trying to make things better.
Their efforts are greatly appreciated, and will contribute greatly to Islamic Relief’s work in Bangladesh and elsewhere.”
