During the month of Ramadhan, Muslims remember the poor around the world. Throughout the month, IR aid workers distribute Ramadhan food packs to hundreds of thousands of families.

QURBANI

Since 1986 Islamic Relief has been organising annual Qurbanis and distributing the meat to the poor. We can ensure that your sacrifice is carried out efficiently in order to benefit some of the world's poorest people.

WAQF

Waqf is a form of continuous charity (sadaqah jariyah), and the rewards for this type of charity continue even after the donor's death - for as long as people continue to benefit from the Waqf. Donations are pooled and invested according to the principles of Islamic Shari'ah, and the income is then used to help the poor. Today, Islamic Relief organises Waqf to cater for long-term projects. The Waqf is comparable to Western concepts of charitable trusts or endowment funds. more.

BUILDING BRIDGES

CHILDREN, FAMILIES & COMMUNITIES

The Orphans General Fund runs alongside IR’s One-to-One Orphan Sponsorship Programme. OGF projects include education, health care, water and sanitation, income generation, vocational training, equipment for schools, summer camps and Ramadhan and Qurbani food distributions.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

The Humanitarian Forum is an IR initiative designed to improve humanitarian work by increasing coordination, understanding and capacity building between agencies in Muslim countries and those in the West. IR has also enjoyed successful partnerships with UN agencies, the UK government's Department for International Development and local aid agencies.

IR domestic projects range from food distribution to disaster relief. These projects exemplify our commitment to helping communities in need, wherever they may be.
