Project Overview

Distribution of tents and blankets

Project Background

On March 3 and 4 1998 heavy rains caused flash floods along the Dasht river. The floods swept over 100 villages, destroying houses, irrigation systems and thousands of acres of crops. Three hundred people dies, 4,000 homes were destroyed and 8,000 homes damaged.

Project Objectives:

To offer relief to those affected by the floods.

    IR works in partnership with communities, aid agencies, local organisations and governments.
