Islamic Relief in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Banner

Islamic Relief began working in Bangladesh in 1991, helping survivors of a devastating tropical cyclone.

We subsequently set up Islamic Relief Bangladesh, which employs around 300 staff across 30 districts to deliver development and emergency-response programmes countrywide. Recent projects include:

•    Strengthening community resilience to disasters
•    Helping vulnerable families to earn a living
•    Providing humanitarian aid for disaster-hit communities

Find out more about our work in Bangladesh, one of the world’s most disaster-prone countries, in our News section. You can also discover more about how our projects are changing lives on the ground, in our Spotlight in the field blog
