Zina
Batirgereieva - “My two children have studied
in this school for three years. As with many other schools in
Chechnya, it was destroyed during the war. There was no money
for reconstruction.
Both children and teachers had to work in that awful
environment. But there are still kind people in this world who
remember the tragic events and horrible consequences of war.
Now our children study in a bright beautiful school and they
don’t get ill anymore. And that is obviously the most
important thing.
Luiza
Saidova - It is very difficult to feed a family without
the opportunity to work and earn money. The lack of water makes
our life very hard. It is lucky we have gas and electricity.
I dream of life without war, gunshots, explosions, but with
theatres, cinemas and playgrounds for children. I believe that
one day peace will come to Chechnya. Then my town will be reconstructed
with all its libraries and parks.
I’d like to tell everybody: Save the Peace.
There is nothing more precious to a mother than the smile of
her child.
